Process
Five simple steps to complete your upgrade
Submit an RMA request through the QNAP website or by contacting support. Once eligible, let us know you're interested in the RMA Replacement Program.
After deciding to trade in, choose Plan A (keep your old device) or Plan B (return your old device).
Contact QNAP support to confirm your applicable trade-in plan and discount details.
Ship your old NAS unit to the designated QNAP address (hard drives not required). Plan A users can skip this step.
QNAP will send an exclusive discount link to your email, valid for 30 days. Use it to purchase your new NAS at the discounted price.

Any user who owns a QNAP NAS with a hardware issue that qualifies for an RMA request is eligible. A valid proof of purchase is required.
No restrictions. You can freely choose any QNAP NAS model for your trade-in upgrade.
No. The RMA Replacement Program applies to the NAS unit only. However, if you need QNAP to ship back hard drives or other accessories, the shipping costs will be at your expense.
Yes. Please make sure to back up and erase all personal data before sending your device back. QNAP is not responsible for any data remaining on the returned device.
No. The discount can only be used for this RMA Replacement transaction and cannot be converted to cash, store credit, or transferred to another person.
The discount link is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After expiration, it becomes invalid. The discount is tied to the old device's serial number and cannot be reapplied. Please complete your purchase within the valid period.
In general, the RMA Replacement discount cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts. Special exceptions may be announced during specific campaign periods.
Typically, the discount link is sent within 3–5 business days after RMA eligibility is confirmed and the plan is finalized with support.
No. Once the discount link is issued, it cannot be cancelled. The old device will be permanently marked as having participated in this program.
